Mr. Howard is an Executive Director in Alternative Investments at Banco Santander International where he provides banking, investment, and specialized services to offshore private banking clients. His role involves sourcing, conducting due diligence, and onboarding liquid alternative and hedge fund managers. He is also responsible for structuring semi-liquid multi manager products. With 20 years of experience in financial markets, investment management, portfolio construction, and fund structuring, Mr. Howard brings a wealth of expertise to Banco Santander. Previously, he worked as an Investment Officer with Hirtle Callaghan providing portfolio construction and investment management services to endowments, foundations, and family offices. Prior to that, he served as Managing Director of Alternative Investments at the GreenHaven Group, focusing on creating public and private commodity-based alternative investments. Mr. Howard also held the position of Director of Equity Sales and Trading with Merrill Lynch, where he was responsible for providing portfolio liquidity solutions to corporate and institutional clients. Mr. Howard holds a master’s degree in Polymer Science Engineering from the University of Florida and an MBA from Mercer University. Additionally, Mr. Howard holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation.
