Michael Gross

Mr. Gross is a co-founder of SLR Capital Partners, a leading independent private credit manager with $12 billion of investable capital. Founded in 2006, SLR primarily invests in U.S. middle market companies in the form of cash flow, asset-based, and specialty finance senior secured loans. SLR manages private credits funds, separately managed accounts, private business development companies (“BDCs”), and the publicly-traded BDC, SLR Investment Corp. (Nasdaq: SLRC).

From 2004 to 2006, Mr. Gross was the chief executive officer of Apollo Investment Corporation, a publicly traded BDC that he founded, and where he also served as chairman of the board of directors and of the investment committee. From 1990 to February 2006, Mr. Gross was a senior partner at Apollo Management, L.P., a leading private equity firm which he co-founded in 1990. Prior to his time at Apollo Management, L.P., Mr. Gross was employed by Drexel Burnham Lambert Incorporated. Mr. Gross also serves as a Director of Global Ship Lease Inc.; Chairman of the Board of Mt. Sinai Children’s Center Foundation; Director of New York Road Runners; Member of the Kellogg Global Advisory Board; and Member of the Ross School Advisory Board at the University of Michigan.

Mr. Gross holds a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Michigan and an M.M. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
