He is head of the Wealth Management unit in Skandia since the beginning of 2016. Before that, he played several roles into the Company (former Old Mutual Colombia, part of the Old Mutual Group) as Head of Financial Planning, Head of Strategy and Head of Asset Allocation and Economy.

Also, he worked in Beijing, China, as Head of the Asset Management team in Old Mutual – Guodian, the subsidiary in China of Old Mutual, between 2011 and 2012. Before to join the Company, he worked in the public sector as Economic Advisor of a Congressman; and before that, as Economic Advisor of the General Comptroller of Colombia.

Manuel is Economist from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, where he also get a Diploma in Journalism. He has a MBA from Rutgers University; a Certificate in Taxation;a Certificate in Derivatives Mathematics from NYIF and a Certificate in Scenario Planning from GBN.
